Representatives from the American Society of Appraisers Gems and Jewelry Discipline recently participated in the American Gem Trade Association’s GemFair™ held February 4-9, 2014 in Tucson, AZ.
As one of the most important trade shows in the jewelry industry, the AGTA GemFair™ Tucson provides buyers with a one-stop-shop to replenish inventory after the holiday season with both loose and finished goods, a full seminar program covering a wide variety of topics and an opportunity to network with peers to discuss ways to improve their business.
ASA participated in the event as an exhibitor (booth #13), showcasing the Society’s new exposition display with custom Gems and Jewelry Discipline artwork and marketing materials; and meeting and engaging with attendees to promote the Discipline’s education and accreditation programs and to recruit prospective members.
Tucson, AZ based independent professional jewelry appraiser, Marti Hubbard, ASA, MGA® helped organize the Society’s efforts. “This is one of the most important events for ASA’s Gems and Jewelry Discipline”, said Hubbard. “Being able to meet one-on-one with people and share the benefits of joining the Society or hiring a designated member is priceless.”
The event drew approximately 10,000 attendees.
AGTA is recognized within the jewelry trade as the authoritative source on natural colored gemstones and the voice of the natural colored gemstone, pearl and cultured pearl industries.
