First ASA Hosted 2018-19 USPAP Class Announced

The American Society of Appraisers announces the hosting of its first 2018-19 Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) class.

The two day, 15-Hour USPAP for Personal Property, Gems & Jewelry and Machinery & Technical Specialties offering will take place November 14-15, 2017 at the Courtyard Marriott in Daytona Beach, Florida.

This 15-hour National USPAP course has been developed specifically for users of Standards 7 and 8 and approved by the Appraisal Standards Board of the Appraisal Foundation. The course will familiarize students with recognized standards governing professional appraisals.

Instruction for the class will be provided by Richard Berkemeier, ASA. Mr. Berkemeier is the Education Chair for M&E and ARM for the Society, as well as member of the Board of Governors. He was formerly the Vice President at Citigroup Investment Bank. Mr. Berkemeier taught finance in the MBA program at the Walter Heller School of Business in Chicago. In addition Mr. Berkemeier has taught appraisal classes around the globe and has taught the ASA Aircraft classes at Embry Riddle. He is also the course developer for many of these courses.

Pricing for the class is $500 for members and $550 for non-members.
