ASA to Present Webinar on How to Overcome Challenges that Come with Appraising Public Projects

The American Society of Appraisers will air Appraisal of Partial Acquisitions for DOT and Public Projects Part 2: What You Should Include on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 1:00p.m. – 3:00p.m. ET.

Designed for any appraiser who is involved or plans to be involved in a partial acquisition appraisal for public projects, this two hour webinar is designed to help attendees better understand challenges, roles and responsibilities; and how to manage and improve skills in providing services. The webinar will also suggest items that should be in a partial acquisition report including specific wording in the reporting of the opinion of value.

The webinar will be presented by David R. Lewis, ASA, MRICS, SR/WA/EM who has both experience in land use planning and real property appraisal. In the planning arena, Mr. Lewis has experience in zone changes, development review and developing general plans. As a real property appraiser, his assignments include subdivisions, vacant land, commercial/industrial properties, eminent domain and diminution of value. For the last 5 years, he has owned his own independent practice.
