This webinar course session serves as
an introduction to the classification and valuation of different types of real
estate and real property interests – both tangible and intangible assets – in
the healthcare industry.
Pertinent valuation approaches and methods utilized
in valuing these interests are discussed. Attendees will learn about the need
for a disciplined appraisal process within the framework of the four pillars
of the healthcare industry (i.e., regulatory, reimbursement, competition
and technology); unique capital requirements and financial attributes of the
healthcare real estate market; and the significance and challenges of real
estate forecasting within the volatile market environment of the healthcare industry.
The importance of real property appraisers working with appraisers in
other appraisal disciplines in order to provide an enhanced scope, diversity of knowledge and breadth

The Healthcare Valuation program
consists of four (4) webinars and one (1) two-day, in person course. The two
tracks for Advanced
Multidisciplinary Education in Healthcare Valuation are:
Track A - Valuation Professional
Certificate of Completion Track
Students may qualify for a Healthcare
Valuation Program Certificate of Completion after meeting the following
- Hold an AM, ASA, or FASA designation with
- Complete all four (4) webinars/courses in the LIVE
format (recording webinars are not applicable);
- Complete 2-day, in-person course and exam; and
- Complete program requirements within three (3)
Track B -
Healthcare Industry Professional Track
- Complete any of the four (4) webinars (live or
- Complete the 2-day, in-person course (do not need
to sit for exam).
