The course will cover an in-depth
look at the factors that all professionals need to know to determine the right
E/O policy for their practice/ firm. Many misunderstandings exist between the
insurer and the professional as to what the details are of the professionals
practice activities and the coverage provided by the insurer thus leaving
enormous gaps in exposure that the professional is not actually protected from.
Also, current trends from referral sources regarding expanded insurance
requirements and ways to reduce risk by the use of risk transfer to
sub-contactors and being protected by their E/O
completion, the participant will be better able to:
- Differentiate the policy language from multiple E/O
policy choices to best determine which policy best fits, therefore best
protects their practice/ firm.
- Leverage how to utilize risk transfer tools to reduce
the risks to their own practice/ firm.
- Discuss insurance requirements with clients, referral
sources and a local insurance broker to maximize the assurance of being
covered for the contractual obligations they enter in to via an engagement.
