Webinar Course Description
The webinar focuses on the benchmarking method to
develop cost new. It provides an insight to what the benchmarking method is, its
weaknesses and strengths, and demonstrate the process on two case studies. The
first case study shows the process of selecting an appropriate benchmark and the
decisions behind this process. The second case study shows an application of benchmarking technique in the context of mass appraisal.

Evžen Körner, ASA | Director | Duff & Phelps
Evžen is a Director in the Frankfurt office of Duff & Phelps. He joined
Duff & Phelps in the context of the acquisition of American Appraisal, and
has overall responsibility for all valuation services related to tangible fixed
assets. He has more than 20 years of experience in the valuation of all types of
tangible assets but also in financial valuation and valuation of intangible
assets.
Evžen has served corporate clients in a variety of industries
including aerospace; automotive; biotechnology; chemicals and petrochemicals;
communications; computer hardware and software; computer services; consulting;
electronic components; semiconductors; power industry; steel; public utilities;
commercial banks, food and beverage; health care; insurance; consumer packaging;
machine tools; metal fabrication; pulp and paper; pharmaceuticals; real estate;
transportation and logistics and many other.
In the past 20+ years, Evžen has
prepared valuations for use in many scenarios, such as mergers and acquisitions,
allocation of purchase price, financial reporting, taxation, purchase and sale,
fresh start accounting for bankruptcy emergence, due diligence support,
litigation, restructuring, insurance and risk management, financing and lease
structuring. He has undertaken and managed valuation and consulting engagements
on all continents and has provided appraisal services in more than 50 countries
across the world.
