The objective of the course is to address the valuation of mining and processing equipment from start to finish.  The course will prepare you for what to expect, give you a level of confidence when you inspect a mining/milling operation; different types of mines and processes, i.e., extraction techniques methods for underground and above ground mine; hard rock mineral processing and coal preparation equipment; what equipment to expect on each type of property; key factors to identify and describe the equipment, and details important in valuing the equipment. Includes cost, market and income approach.

This is an advanced course; students should be familiar with report writing and appraisal techniques.
