General Information
This hands-on and dynamic course will introduce students to the process of inspecting and describing paintings, sculpture, and works on paper for fine art appraisal assignments, art history courses, and personal collections. Students will work independently and in groups to acquire the specialized skills needed to quickly, efficiently and cogently assess and describe artworks in adherence with the Getty's Object ID criteria and current USPAP standards. This course is appropriate for all students interested in learning to describe what they see in an accurate and informational manner.
