General Information
This course is the culmination of the required coursework for the AM and
ASA designation of ARM. The class takes a close look at the various
International Valuation Standards including USPAP, IVS, AICPA and their impact
and importance in the Appraisal Review and Management Process. The course also
looks at the Impact of the Basel Accord and the interaction amongst the
International Regulatory bodies and the Appraisal community. The class presents
numerous appraisal case studies covering Real Property, Machinery and Equipment,
Business Valuation, Gems and Jewelry, Personal Property. This course is ideal
for representatives of the Banking and Financial Industries, Domestic and
International Regulatory Bodies including IRS, OCC, FDIC, OTC, the Federal
Reserve Bank and the Appraisal Community at large who are involved in the Review
and Management of complex multidisciplinary appraisal assignments. These parties
are establishing the new rules for Appraisal Review and Management. This course
provides a guide for managing the engagement and review process from origination
through the underwriting process and collateralization This looks at the
appraisal from both the appraisal engager as well as the appraiser’s
perspective; it is a guide to assist in the process of understanding the needs
of both parties of an appraisal engagement so that each ascertain the scope and
depth of the appraisal is understood by both.
