CARL T. BLOOMQUIST, ASA
PRESENT POSITION
Carl T. Bloomquist, ASA, is Valuation Director for Marshall & Stevens Incorporated, specializing in machinery, equipment and building valuations.
EXPERIENCE
Active in the valuation profession since 1974, Mr. Bloomquist is a senior engagement manager, with active participation and the overseeing of complex assignments around the world. Valuations include buildings and improvements, machinery, equipment, vehicles and other personal property assets. Valuations have been prepared for various industries, including, but not limited to: Agriculture, Automotive, Educational and Religious Institutions, Electronics, Semiconductor and Related Technology Industries, Energy Production and Distribution, Food and Kindred Products, Hospitality and Gaming, Manufacturing, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Research and Development, Water Distribution and Waste Treatment.
Valuations have been prepared for purposes of merger, acquisition, divestiture, insurance, financing, income and ad valorem taxes, purchase price allocation, property records, sale/leaseback structuring and business planning. Mr. Bloomquist’s professional valuation experience includes providing testimony for litigation support purposes.
EMPLOYMENT
He has been employed by Marshall & Stevens since 1981. Previous to that, he was employed in the construction industry.
EDUCATION
He holds a B.S. from San Jose State University where he majored in business management. Additionally, he has completed numerous courses and seminars sponsored by the American Society of Appraisers and the Appraisal Institute, along with valuation related courses at local colleges.
Mr. Bloomquist has qualified as an expert witness before various judicial bodies in California, Oregon and Michigan.
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Mr. Bloomquist is an accredited senior member of the American Society of Appraisers [ASA] in the discipline of Machinery and Technical Specialties [MTS]. Mr. Bloomquist was first certified in 1980, and has recertified continuously; currently through 2010. Mr. Bloomquist has held the position of MTS discipline director, for the San Francisco ASA chapter.
