James McCann is a Valuation Specialist and Business Appraiser with the Internal Revenue Service’s Large Business and International Division, in San Francisco, California.

IRS appraisers provide valuation services and technical support to various operating units within the IRS. James’ clients include IRS revenue agents and U.S. government attorneys who conduct examination audits of corporate income and estate and gift tax issues.

James has over ten years of combined experience in private-sector and public-service valuation consulting. He has an MBA in Finance from the University of San Francisco, and a Bachelor’s in Animal Science from the University of Delaware.

James has earned the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation in Business Valuation from the American Society of Appraisers, and is a Past President of the ASA NorCal Chapter.

James has prepared valuations for U.S. Tax Court and U.S. Federal District Court cases.
