Session Description

An AICPA survey on expert testimony revealed that the skills most valued by attorneys were the ability to communicate orally and in writing. This session will focus on the skills necessary for effective oral communication to appear convincing to a trier of fact. Attendees will gain an awareness of jury perceptions of testifying experts, verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, as well as the time-honored concepts of persuasive communication articulated by Aristotle in his volume written in the 4th century B.C.
