You must be registered for the conference to reserve a room under the ASA room block at the group rate.

A block of rooms has been set aside for the ASA conference at the conference hotel. Hotel reservations and cancellations are the responsibility of the registrant. To register by phone, call toll free 1-(800) 228-9290 or call the hotel directly at (612) 349-4000 and mention ASA for the group rate, or click on the online reservation link above.

When making your reservations, the hotel requests that you send a check, money order or provide a major credit card with expiration date as a deposit for the first night's stay. A first night room deposit must accompany all reservation requests to guarantee that your room will be held for you on the first day of arrival only. If you don't cancel your reservation 72 hours prior to arrival or are a no-show, you will forfeit one night's room deposit. Deposits are refundable with a valid cancellation number issued by the hotel.

The special group rate applies to the nights of July 29–August 7. Your reservation must be received on or before Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Currently, a 13 percent tax is applicable to the room rate (subject to change without notice). After this date, the hotel will release the unused portion of ASA's room block for general sale. Any new reservations received after the cutoff date will be at the guaranteed group rate on a space-available basis only. Requests for dates three days before and after will be accepted at the group rates on a space-available basis only. A portion of the room rate is rebated to ASA for expenses associated with the conference.

Room Rates: Standard Room: Single/Double/Triple/Quads Occupancy $149. Children under 18 years may stay free in a parent's room using the existing bedding.

Location: The hotel is located in the heart of the city and connects to the skyway system. More than seven miles of the skyway are accessible.

Room Amenities: Newly renovated hotel rooms boast a sophisticated elegance, as well as modern amenities with luxurious bedding-down comforters, custom duvets, cotton reach linens, pillows–down/feather and foam, electrical outlet at desk level, cable/satellite TV and movies/videos, pay-per-view. Standard rooms (may vary by room type) feature two-line telephones with voice mail, alarm clock, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, Internet access available in all areas with wireless available in public areas, wired only available in guest rooms. Phone calls are toll-free; newspaper delivered to room. This is a nonsmoking hotel.

Facilities/Guest Services: The hotel has a full-service business center, concierge desk, safety deposit boxes at front desk, local restaurant dinner delivery.

Hotel Restaurants: Northern Shores Grille (American) serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lobby bar is open for lunch and dinner.

Hotel Parking: $18 USD hourly, $18 USD daily; Valet parking $25 daily (fees subject to change without notice). The front desk sells discount parking vouchers. Special weekend and hourly rates apply for self off-site parking.

Check In/Check Out: Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.; check-out time is noon. Please plan your arrival and departure accordingly. Hotel guests staying in their rooms beyond the check-out time without hotel authorization may be charged for an additional room night.

TAXI SERVICES
Taxis are available at both MSP terminals. At the Lindbergh Terminal, taxi service is available from the Tram Level. At the Humphrey Terminal, taxis wait at the Humphrey Ground Transportation Center, in the Humphrey Parking ramp on Level 1. Cab fare from MSP to downtown is about $25 one way.
