Professional Course Equivalencies for Appraisal Studies in Real Property
ASA offers professional equivalencies for ASA course work for appraisers holding designations with selected appraisal societies, real estate appraisal course work from selected societies, and state-certified general and residential appraisers. The equivalencies are in lieu of some of the requirements needed to earn an ASA or AM designation in Real Property urban, residential or rural.
ASA offers course equivalencies for specified courses offered by the following appraisal organizations and completed within the last ten years:

AI—The Appraisal Institute

AIC—The Appraisal Institute of Canada

ASFMRA—American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers

IAAO—International Association of Assessing Officers
And
-
NAIFA—National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (Course equivalencies are offered to members of the NAIFA who hold the IFA or the IFAS designation.)

Columbia Society of Real Estate Appraisers (Course equivalencies are offered to members who have passed the CSA technical exam.)
And

State-certified general appraisers
