2014 Summer Appraisal Camp for Personal Property Appraisers

The American Society of Appraisers in collaboration with Purchase College will offer a Summer Appraisal Camp. Ideal for personal property appraisers, this 2-week program includes four sequential courses taught via live lectures, hands-on exercises and visits to Purchase College’s Neuberger Museum of Art. The rigorous program contains all required courses in the Principles of Valuation series of the American Society of Appraisers. Students who successfully complete the program are awarded an Appraisal Studies Certificate by Purchase College and also complete most of the education hour requirement for the Appraisal Foundation.

Assignments include:

  • Insurance coverage, damage and loss claims, estates and estate planning, non-cash charitable contributions, division of property and sale/purchase of property.

Who Should Attend?

Personal property appraisers or other professionals with backgrounds in auctioneering, insurance, museums or fine art and antiques.

Registration begins on February 25, 2014. Please note only paper registrations will be accepted from February 25 - April 1. Students may reserve their spot without a payment. Everyone who registers from February 25 to March 31 will receive a bill for tuition. Starting April 1, 2014, students must register online and payment will be due at the time of registration. The early bird registration deadline is May 2, 2014. Course tuition is $850.00 per course. If you plan to take all four (4) courses (PP201-PP204) a discounted tuition of $3,060.00 (for all four (4) courses) is available through May 2, 2014.
