The education requirement for accreditation is a four-year college degree or its equivalent. Two years of appraisal experience are the equivalent of one year of college. Years of experience substituted for college credit are in addition to the years of experience required by the level of membership status sought. Equivalency is considered and authorized by the International Board of Examiners. Documented evidence of all academic credentials must be furnished. ASA requires that you verify your education by submitting copies of your college diploma, transcripts, and/or the College Degree Equivalency Program Form.
