ASA Designations
Accreditation in the society is based on appraisal education, experience, intensive written examinations and submission of acceptable appraisal reports.
Accredited Member (AM) or Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) - Having completed the requirements for accreditation, a Candidate will advance to an AM designation or, with more appraisal experience, an ASA designation. The requirements are described in detail under "Accreditation" and in the Guidelines for Professional Accreditation booklet. A member's designation is associated with the specific discipline and specialty in which he or she has been examined. Some members are accredited in more than one discipline or specialty.
Fellow (FASA) - Fellowships may be bestowed on Accredited Senior Appraisers (ASAs) by the society's International Board of Governors in recognition of outstanding service to the appraisal profession or the society.
