ASA to Offer Appraisal Report Writing Course in Reston, VA

January 22, 2013, (Reston, VA) The American Society of Appraisers is pleased to announce the offering of an appraisal report writing course ideal for Real Property Appraisers of all levels, including non-ASA members, in Reston, VA.

This 3-day course is unique because it teaches both experienced and novice Real Property appraisal writer how to use and cultivate critical thinking skills, logic, and persuasive argument to create stronger appraisal reports. Registrants will learn how to overcome the difficulties of writing, explore different types of writing styles used in appraisal reports, master argument analysis, how to avoid logical fallacies as well as see examples of both good and poor writing. Please note: this class is not approved for real property continuing education credit. Individuals may apply for credit within their own state.

Registrants will learn how to select appropriate writing style, pare down descriptions, identify and eliminate excess verbiage and support your opinion of value succinctly and effectively.
