Registration Opens for Leading International Conference for PP Appraisers – Significant Discount for Early Registration Offered to Members

The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) announces the opening of registration for its 2020 ASA International Conference to be held October 11-13 at the Marriott Magnificent Mile in Chicago, IL.

Early registration rate of $650 is available for members through May 1, which is a savings of more than 40%.

Leading personal property appraisers will join fellow practitioners from around the world to explore and discuss the foremost trends and issues impacting the specialty and overall profession putting into practice this year’s theme of “Convergence of the Appraisal Disciplines”.

Featured personal property sessions will include: The Gray Market: Valuing Unauthenticated Objects, Architectural Artifacts-Meaningful and Marketable; Paintings and Works on Paper-Conservation and Condition Impacting Value; The Tiffany Ceiling-Taking on a Challenging Assignment; Trusts and Estates-Appraising for Trending Tax Strategies; Signs of Change-Recent Market Milestones in Modern Design; Vida Americana-Analyzing Latinx Artists; Appraising Minerals, Hardstone Carvings and Related Natural Materials; From Creation to Consumption-Fabrication Costs and Their Impact on Pricing; African American Fine Art-Identifying Market Impact; and Valuation Methodology and Applying the IRS Substantiation Rules.

This year’s Conference marks the 83rd annual offering, making it one of the longest consecutive running appraisal conferences since the event first began in 1937. The event will feature 600+ attendees, over 70 educational sessions with presentations from recognized experts, valuable networking opportunities, exhibits from leading-edge companies and bonus optional pre- and post-event, all at the fantastic Marriott Magnificent Mile conveniently located in Chicago, IL.
