Donations Sought for ASA Silent Auction to Benefit Young Appraisers for Scholarship Opportunities

Would you like to donate a unique item or experience that represents your chapter or region to help boost ASA’s future membership? Please consider donating items to the ASA Educational Foundation Silent Auction, to be held on Monday, August 26, during the Joint ASA 2019 Advanced Business Valuation & International Appraisers Conference on August 25-27 in New York, NY.

The ASA Educational Foundation Silent Auction raises funds for ASA’s 501c3 Educational Foundation to give course-taking grants to up-and-coming young appraisers. We appreciate each member's contributions, and all donors receive recognition.

We encourage you to be creative and have fun coming up with a unique donation. Here are some ideas:

 •          Works of Art - carvings, prints, paintings, and photographs.

•          Jewelry/Watches – an odyssey in craftsmanship or antique classic time-piece. Or a gift certificate.

•          Wine – anything wine-related is always popular and so representative of any region, from bottles of fine wine to wine country tasting tour certificates to a wine-making lessons and supplies.

•          Food – Whether food or snack donations, such as a gourmet food basket, or gift certificate to a restaurant or for cooking lessons, food donations are always fun.

•          Events - football, baseball, concerts, theater, art shows and similar events.

•          Vacation/Get-a-Way - you can deduct it for your vacation home, time share, or vacation club.

•          Golf - at your favorite course. Or how about golf lessons in an exciting destination?

•          Books – perhaps a coffee table book with photographs of your region or a local history book?

•          Appraisal Textbook – Or, if you’ve authored a book or books then please consider donating a few copies of it.

•          Individual Cash Contributions – are easy via the Educational Foundation's online link for $50 increments. Individual donations (persons or chapters) will be posted on our new Donor's Circle Board at Conference.                 

•          Donate a course! Your name, firm or chapter will appear on a poster board showing all donors and amounts given.

  • Log onto:

  • Scroll to the bottom for links to Donation Forms (for objects) or Online Contributions of cash which, for this fundraiser, would be appreciated at a minimum of $50.00.
  • To submit an object, complete and e-mail the Donation Form to Educational Foundation Chair Susan Golashovsky at and or any Educational Foundation Board Member. Please include description, retail price and a photo for our story board. A tax letter for the retail price (FMV) of your contribution will be provided.
