Anthony V. Aaron, FASA, CFA, FRICS, USC Leventhal School of Accounting, USC
Tony Aaron serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Leventhal School of Accounting at the University of Southern California and has been appointed as Director of the USC SEC and Financial Reporting Institute.  He has spent more than 37 years in financial analysis.  The majority of his career took place at Ernst & Young LLP, and he spent time earlier in his career as a securities analyst. Aaron has an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and BS from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.

Craig R. Everett, Ph.D, MBA, Assistant Professor of Finance, Pepperdine University.
Craig R. Everett is an assistant professor of finance at Pepperdine University's Graziadio Business School and director of the Pepperdine Private Capital Markets Project. His teaching and research interests include entrepreneurial finance, private capital markets, business valuation and behavioral corporate finance. Dr. Everett has more than 20 years of industry experience in management consulting (Accenture) and the aerospace & defense industry (Northrop Grumman). He holds a PhD in finance from Purdue University, an MBA from George Mason University, and a BA in quantitative economics from Tufts University.

William Holder, DBA, MAcc, Dean, Leventhal School of Accounting, USC
William Holder, CPA, is an expert on financial accounting and reporting and auditing. His research has been published in The Journal of Accountancy, The Accounting Review, the Financial Executive, and The CPA Journal. He is a recipient of the Gold Medal Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award. Professor Holder served as a member of the American Institute of CPAs and chaired its audit committee. Professor Holder has a Doctor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting and minors in Economics and Management from the University of Oklahoma; Master of Accounting from the University of Oklahoma; and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.

Roger Grabowski, FASA, Managing Director, Duff & Phelps
Roger Grabowski is a managing director with Duff & Phelps and a fellow at the Duff & Phelps Institute. He has directed valuations of businesses, interests in businesses, intellectual property, intangible assets, real property and machinery and equipment. Grabowski has testified in court as an expert witness on matters of solvency, the value of closely held businesses and business interests, valuation and amortization of intangible assets and other valuation issues. He completed all coursework in the doctoral program in finance at Northwestern University and holds a B.B.A. in finance from Loyola University of Chicago.

Amanda Miller, Ph.D., Managing Director, National Valuation Audit Assist Leader, EY
Amanda Miller serves as co-chair of the AICPA PE/VC task force, and also served as EY's representative to the AICPA "Cheap Stock" task force for the guide that was published in 2013.  In addition, she is EY's National Valuation Audit Assist Solutions Leader, creating processes to seamlessly integrate valuation to meet our client’s financial reporting requirements. Her projects focus on assisting clients in understanding fair value issues, and on valuing complex securities such as options, warrants, preferred & common stock, performance awards, convertible notes, debt and related embedded derivatives, loan portfolios and contingent considerations. She holds a Ph.D. and dual masters' degrees from Stanford University, and dual bachelors' degrees from the California Institute of Technology.

Kevin Prall, CFA, CVA, Senior Manager, KPMG
Kevin Prall is Senior Manager in the Economic and Valuation Services Practice of KPMG LLP (United States) with more than 11 years' experience in providing financial advisory and valuation consulting services to middle market and large, multi-national clients throughout the world. He is currently on a part- time rotation with the IVSC as the Business Valuation Standards Director. His specialties include: business enterprise valuations; intangible asset valuations (customer relationships, patents, trade names, technology, non-compete agreements, IPR&D, trade secrets, etc.); and strategic pricing analyses for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Prall has a BA in Economics from DePauw University.

Raymond Rath, ASA, CEIV, IA, ARM, Managing Director, Globalview Advisors, LLC
Raymond Rath is a Managing Director in the Los Angeles office of Globalview Advisors. He has more than 30 years of financial valuation expertise and is a recognized leader in the valuation of businesses, securities interests and intangible assets. Ray has performed valuation projects for financial (both U.S. GAAP and IFRS) and tax reporting, transactions and litigation projects. In addition to performing valuations, Ray has extensive experience in the review of third-party and management prepared valuations. Rath received his MBA from the University of Southern California and his BS in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of Kansas.

Tom Ryan, MBA, Professor, Leventhal School of Accounting, USC
Thomas Ryan is an expert on valuation for financial statement and federal tax purposes. He retired from the PricewaterhouseCoopers partnership in 2010. As PwC's national tax valuation leader from 2002 to 2006, he guided growth of the practice to 10 cities. He also served as managing director at KPMG and was a partner at Arthur Young. He has more than 35 years of experience valuing the business enterprise, intangible assets, real propertyand manufacturing assets. He teaches valuation topics for CFALA and is the Leventhal School's representative to International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC). Ryan received his MBA from DePaul University and BS from the University of Illinois - Chicago

Jonathan Shing, Valuation Director, PwC Los Angeles
Jonathanis Shing is a Valuation Director in the PwC Los Angeles Transaction Services practice, specializing in valuation advice related to acquisitions, financial reporting, and tax purposes. Jonathan has over 15 years of experience with an industry focus on technology, entertainment, and venture-backed companies. Past technology clients include some of the largest global software, semiconductor, internet and e-commerce companies. Jonathan graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. of Business Administration with Finance and Accounting majors, as well as a B.A. of Economics.  Jonathan is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.

Mohini Singh, ACA, Director, Financial Reporting Policy, CFA Institute
Mohini Singh is director of financial reporting policy at CFA Institute. She represents membership interests regarding financial reporting and disclosure proposals issued by the FASB, the IASB, and others. Singh holds the Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) designation. She has an MA in international relations from The Johns Hopkins University, Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies; Master’s Degree from Oxford University; and Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Oxford University.

Jeffrey S. Tarbell, ASA, Director, Houlihan Lokey
Jeffrey S. Tarbell is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Advisory Services business. He has 28 years of experience providing valuation and financial opinions to private and publicly traded companies. Tarbell is head of the firm’s Estate and Gift Tax Valuation practice, co-head of the firm’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan Valuation practice, and a member of the firm’s Technical Standards Committee.  Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Tarbell was the Director of Financial Advisory Services for a national valuation firm. Earlier, he was a Vice President in the M&A group of a boutique investment banking firm. Tarbell earned a B.S. from the University of Oregon and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Shirlene Wang, Deals, PwC
Shirlene Wang is a Valuation Senior with extensive experience in valuation for financial reporting and tax purposes in the Technology industry, including SaaS, Software, Semiconductor and Internet subsectors. She heavily leverages data analytics and dashboard reporting using a range of tools including Alteryx, SQL, and PowerBI to present insights to clients and practitioners. Wang received her Bachelor degree from the University of California at Berkeley, triple majoring in Business Administration, Applied Mathematics and Economics.

Lynne Weber, Ph.D., Managing Director Strategic Value Advisory, Duff & Phelps
Lynne Webber has 35+ years of consulting experience, with expertise in financial projections, market analysis, market research, contingency valuation, statistics, data analytics, econometrics, forecasting and risk assessment. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Weber was a managing director at Standard & Poor’s, a principal at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and a principal at Applied Decision Analysis, Inc. She received her Ph.D. in operations research and her Master’s in statistics from Stanford University and her B.A. in mathematics from Cornell University.

George Wilfert, CPA, Deputy Director, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board
George Wilfert, Deputy Director, serves as senior technical advisor in the Office of Research and Analysis (ORA), and is responsible for overseeing support to PCAOB staff on complex matters. Wilfert also collaborates with staff from the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the Securities and Exchange Commission on various PCAOB-related mattersPrior to joining the PCAOB, Wilfert worked for a decade at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Two of those ten years were spent at the firm's national office focusing on risk management. Before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Wilfert worked for Arthur Andersen. He began his audit career at KPMG Peat Marwick. He is a certified public accountant in California and New Jersey. Wilfert earned a B.S. in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University.

Mark Zyla, ASA, CFA, CPA/ABV/CFF, Managing Director, Acuitas
Mark Zyla is a Managing Director of Acuitas, Inc., an Atlanta Georgia based valuation and litigation consultancy firm. Zyla has provided valuation consulting for various types of entities for the purposes of mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax planning, corporate recapitalizations, as well as valuing various types of intellectual property and other intangible assets for many purposes. Prior to rejoining Acuitas, he was a Principal with a national business valuation and financial advisory firm. Additionally, he was formerly the practice leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers’s Corporate Finance Consulting Group for the Southeastern U.S.He received a BBA degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA degree with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University.
