Session Description

Business valuations are increasingly coming under scrutiny by bodies including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. As a result of concerns regarding valuation quality, a new designation, Certified in Entity and Intangibles Valuation (“CEIV” ™) is now offered. The CEIV designation includes significant performance and documentation requirements as set forth in the Mandatory Performance Framework documents. The CEIV also includes a periodic practice review requirement for designation holders. Ray will provide an update on the CEIV designation and the Mandatory Performance Framework. The documentation and reporting requirements for valuations for different project purposes including financial reporting, tax reporting and litigation will also be discussed.
