Session Description

The Scope of Work Rules allows appraisers and reviewers to continually hit moving targets with an ever changing plan of action for each report, using specific criteria based on the intended use of the assignment. It is important to understand and correctly apply the Scope of Work Rule because it is the intended user’s needs, requirements and ability to understand the scope of work that drives the entire assignment. Determination and defining of the appropriate scope of work is the appraiser’s and appraisal reviewer’s responsibility ... which can often be blurred by parties involved. This session will focus on scope of work decisions, development, and disclosure for use within the appraisal and appraisal review report. Melanie Modica will question a panel representing multiple disciplines, who will present real-world examples and the ways in which the scopes of work were kept in clear focus.
