This online webinar is designed to assist candidates in
the last part of the requirements to become an accredited appraiser
with the American Society of Appraisers. This
webinar will provide an overview of the Business Valuation accreditation process and report guidelines that
should be followed by an applicant. The presenters of this webinar will
review common flaws in submitted reports and discuss the elements required
for a report to pass this capstone of the
accreditation process.
Learning Outcomes
Upon webinar completion, the participant will be able to:
- Demonstrate better understanding of the required
elements of a report submitted for BV accreditation;
- Recognize critical elements to display an understanding of appraisal
theory and synthesis and application in a client engagement;
- Examine common flaws in submitted appraisals; and
- Review the critical elements of a professional and comprehensive
appraisal.

William C. Quackenbush, ASA | Advent
Valuation Advisors
William Quackenbush, MBA, ASA, MCBA, ABAR is a director
of Advent Valuation Advisors and has more than 40 years of business experience.
Mr. Quackenbush has provided expert witness testimony and/or been deposed as
such in both State and Federal Courts and in both arbitration and mediation
settings. Mr. Quackenbush has taught business valuation throughout the US and
worldwide for nearly 20 years and was the author of one of the ASA's
credentialing courses in Business Valuation. He was a
contributing author of the “IFRS Fair Value Guide: The IACVA International Handbook” published
by John Wiley and Sons, is a contributing editor to
The Financial and Litigation Expert, and has been a technical
reviewer for two editions of the AICPA’s text on Business Valuation. He served
as the Chair of the ASA's Business Valuation Committee and is
currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Examiners (BV).
Trey Stevens, ASA | Stevens & Greer, LC
Trey Stevens is the vice-chair of the International Board of Examiners of the
American Society of Appraisers (ASA) for the business valuation discipline. Trey
was elected to be a member of the ASA Business Valuation Committee in 2009 and
reelected to this position in 2012. Trey holds the designation of Accredited
Senior Appraiser from the ASA and the Master Certified Business Appraiser (MCBA)
designation from the Institute of Business Appraisers. Trey has over 20 years of
business valuation experience and is currently managing director of Stevens
& Greer, LC, in McLean, Virginia.
