This GJ202 class is being presented via a virtual series format and will be taught
by a live instructor over the course of (5) weeks. Students will meet virtually
with the instructor twice a week for (3) hours each session on Mondays and
Wednesdays, and engage in discussions, exercises, and post-session assignments.
There are a total of (9) sessions. Students must participate in each live
session in order to complete the course and receive full credit.

Registration
Students will receive log in details for the live sessions following
their completed registration.
Registration includes:
- One registrant log-in to the live sessions; and
- Electronic Student Handout Materials.
Instructional Methods
This class will be presented utilizing
lecture and visual aids with student understanding enchanced through group discussions of
focused assignments that will be completed in-class and between sessions. The class will be highly interactive and students
are encouraged to ask question at any time. Pre-course
reading requirements are also required - please see below.
Course Audience
This course in intended for those interested in pursuing a career in appraising
gems and jewelry, currently practicing appraisers,
and insurance industry professionals who regularly rely on gem and jewelry
appraisals for coverage decisions.

Students are required to purchase and have available during class the

Prior to class, students should read the following:
- Personal Property Monographs: 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7;
- USPAP Standard 7; and
- GJ Descriptive Elements.
