Going Concern Education Valuation Program
ASA’s “Allocating Components in Going Concern Appraisals” course was developed in response to new requirements impacting SBA-backed business loans and recent moves by financial institutions, both of which are providing new opportunities for ASA-designated appraisers who specialize in Going Concern valuations.
The new course will provide ASA-designated real property appraisers, certified general appraisers and assessors a thorough, hands-on learning experience covering the knowledge and understanding to properly allocate/segregate the components and report their effect on value as required by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Instruction will be provided by highly experienced, ASA-designated appraisers who specialize in real property and business valuation.
The course has been approved for 27 hours of continuing education credits for the following states: Arizona, California, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Additional states pending.
The course has also been approved by Oregon and Washington for assessor CE.
Allocating Components in Going Concern Appraisals will be held in various locations starting this spring with future dates and locations to be added throughout the year.
