Accredited Senior Appraiser in Business Valuation and Intangible Assets

With over two decades of  consulting and technical experience including Valuation Services,  Transaction Support and Corporate Finance, Adriana was the first professional in Latin America to attain the Intangible Asset Specialty Designation under the auspices of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and the first international member  appointed to the Appraisal Practices Board (APB) of The Appraisal Foundation (TAF), the foremost authority on the valuation profession in the United States of America. The APB provides voluntary guidance to appraisers, users of appraisal services and regulators on valuation methods and techniques in complex topic areas for all disciplines within the profession.
She has led hundreds of projects reaching more than 20 countries, including the supervision of large, complex multidiscipline engagements regarding businesses (as a going concern or assets’ based), real property, machinery and equipment, and intangible assets collaborating with international consulting firms and government entities.
Adriana has worked in a wide variety of industries and for numerous purposes: mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, governance, commercial / shareholders disputes, compliance with International, Mexican, American, and Brazilian financial reporting standards, among others. Valued intangibles including: intellectual property, customer lists, trademarks and trade names, favorable contracts, non-competition and employment agreements, goodwill.
Her designations include Accredited Senior Member of the ASA in Business Valuation and Intangible Assets, Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in Business Valuation, and registered appraiser for the National Banking and Securities Commission in the fields of Real Property and Machinery & Equipment since 1993.
President of the Technical Council of the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives (IMEF) and member of the Business Valuation Sub-Board of RICS Americas. She also participates in the Financial Reporting Committee of IMEF, the Mexican Chapter of the ASA and in TAF’s Business Valuation Resource Panel.
Adriana is a frequent speaker, author and professor on Valuation, Financial Reporting, Intangible Assets, and Corporate Governance in national and international venues.
