2004 – 2008         Scott Communities– Director of Finance

 

Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the financial viability of existing and future company operations.  Worked with in-house legal counsel, lenders and title companies to negotiate and close land acquisitions and sales on a timely basis and to secure additional financing for new ventures for both Arizona and Texas operations. 


Assumed the management of Scott Communities’ multifamily portfolio that consisted of 1758 Class A apartments in the Phoenix and Tucson area in May of 2004.   Negotiated the sale and closing of the apartments during 2006 and 2007 to both private and institutional investors.

Andersen Value Solutions Group joined KPMG Forensic in May of 2002.  In November of 2003, the Dispute Advisory Services practice of KPMG LLP was sold to FTI Consulting. 

Provided database analysis and design, financial modeling, management advisory, litigation support, valuation and strategy services.  Utilized accounting, database, financial modeling and computer expertise to provide litigation, valuation and forensic accounting work product. Responsible for marketing, maintaining client relationships, planning projects, billing, and quality control of engagements.

 

1998 – 1999             EPARTNERS - Project Manager, Phoenix Office

 Manage software implementation consultants for a national VAR of mid-market accounting and business automation systems.  Plan, coordinate and administer consulting engagements and provide sales support and leads to the marketing department.

1997 – 1998           Signature Technology Group, Inc. (STG) - Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. 

Responsible for all operations, financial reporting, personnel, vendor and banking relationships, capital budget, and assisted in marketing to major clients for STG, a national information technology company that provides hardware maintenance primarily for mainframe and large PC installations.  Managed growth of company from monthly revenues of $130k to over $300k in a two-year period.  Planned, coordinated and implemented move to a 20,000 square foot facility, including purchase of all computer, telephone systems and furniture.  Secured asset-based financing and an operating line of credit to finance company growth.  Interacted extensively with the business community.  Appointed as facility security officer with a top-secret clearance (necessary for secure government installations).

1991- 1993               Arthur Andersen & Co.  Operations/Financial Manager, Litigation Information Consulting.

Responsible for internal financial reporting, billing, local vendor negotiations and daily operations of Arthur Andersen Technology Center which provided automated information management systems utilizing imaging and database software and hardware primarily for litigation support; developed job costing system in Paradox to track costs and production.

1990 –1991            Arthur Andersen, Senior Accountant - Litigation Information Consulting.

Responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring new business operation of Arthur Andersen (Technology Center): supervised subcontractors; performed financial analysis; compiled projections for the business plan; evaluated and purchased in excess of $1 million of computer equipment; and coordinated the installation of a 115-node computer network.
