Johnnie White, CEO, Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for the oversight and management of the Society’s business office and executing the directives set by the ASA board of governors and its executive committee. Johnnie is an association professional with more than 27 years serving in a variety of management and leadership roles. Most recently he served as Senior Director of the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, where he managed global affairs for the organization and strategic planning, including overseeing a staff of 17 and an annual event with more than 9,000 attendees. In addition, White is an adjunct faculty member of Georgetown University where he instructs graduate students in operations and event management. White holds his M.B.A. from University of Maryland University College and his B.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Professional Convention Management Association and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his association work, including being named one of the top 40 Trending Association Innovators by DCA Live in 2017.
Bonny Price, Chief Operations Officer. Bonny is responsible for the operations and administration of ASA’s education, membership and credentialing programs. She serves as a senior staff member reporting to the CEO, staff liaison for the CEIV™ Certification program, staff liaison to the Business Valuation Committee and is currently the Chair of the Corporate and Intangibles Valuation Organization, LLC (CIVO). Bonny joined ASA in 2006 as the Director of Membership. Her tenure, educational background, and over 30 years of work experience provide her with a valuable understanding of ASA’s cross-departmental programs, policies and procedures, as well general association operations and management. She has Bachelor of Arts degree from Union College where she was a member of Psi Chi Honor Society and a member of the Dean’s list for four years. Bonny also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from George Mason University, where she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society and president of the Student Nurses Association. Bonny also earned a Certificate in Meetings Management from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Prior to ASA, Bonny worked as a membership retention and marketing manager for the Food Products Association, an events and member services director for the American Association of Exporters and Importers, a development and member services manager for the International Franchise Association and as an association administrator for Smith Bucklin and Associates.
Lissah Michalski, Governance Operations Manager, is responsible for managing all Board of Governors meetings, as well as all ASA national elections. She serves as staff liaison to the Ethics Committee, Nominating and Awards Committee, Constitution and Bylaws Committee, and Elections Committee. Lissah brings 15 years of experience in contract management to her work with ASA’s executives and volunteer leaders in managing and administering ASA’s organizational policies and procedures.
Sarah Sebastian, CAE, Director of Membership and Credentialing Services, manages the development and implementation of all membership recruitment/retention and credentialing programs. She directs and coordinates the organization’s membership and credentialing services department and actively seeks to grow and service ASA’s membership base. Sarah has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Radford University. She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and is a Certified Association Executive. Prior to ASA, she worked for the Colorado Society of CPAs and the American Academy of Audiology.
Susannah L. Coleman, Membership Manager. Susannah executes the daily activities related to new-member acquisitions and ASAʼs renewal programs; oversees and implements new-member outreach programs; and manages ASAʼs Benefit Partner Program. She also develops and maintains training materials and opportunities in addition to implementing strategies for continuous quality control and improvement. Susannah also manages the member reinstatement process; and the dues installment payment plans. In addition, Susannah oversees ASA's call center and focuses her staff on providing excellent customer service to ASA's members, students, volunteers and prospects.
Danielle Edwards, Member Service Representative. Danielle assists with registrations for educational courses and events, membership information, changes of address, book and publication sales, and general information about ASA. Prior to ASA, she worked with Sykes – Cognizant.
Shalisa Sennon-Harrison, Credentialing Services Specialist, ARM/MTS/PP/RP, is responsible for the daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the credentialing department's activities. She assists Candidates through ASA’s various credentialing programs and ensures they understand the various discipline requirements. She reviews, processes and tracks all credentialing and reaccreditation applications, ensures information presented on ASA’s website and in ASA materials are up-to-date and communicated properly, she proactively reaches out to those eligible to apply for accreditation to answer their questions, follows-up on overdue reaccreditation applications and answers general inquiries about Credentialing Services.
Patrick Vann, Membership and Chapter Development Manager. Patrick is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with chapter leaders, assisting with chapter activities (including chapter education coordination, website coordination, event marketing, and member recruitment and retention activities), conducting Chapter Officer Training and managing the annual chapter officer elections process. On the membership front, Patrick is responsible for developing and executing ASA's recruitment strategies and managing ASA’s exhibit and tradeshow program.
Sanned Khalefa, Credentialing Services Administrative Assistant, is responsible for the daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department's activities. He provides assistance with processing applications and invoices, updating member records as applicable, assembling materials to support the needs of accreditation, certification, and reaccreditation/ recertification processes, and answering general inquiries about Credentialing Services. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management at George Mason University.
Cinthia Giannakos, Director of Education, is responsible for the overall management of ASAʼs education department. Her dedication and commitment were recognized in 2016 with the bestowing of the Societyʼs Sylvia Wade Olson Award which is given to an employee demonstrating exemplary member service and leadership in building cooperative, helpful working relations. Cinthiaʼs educational background, technical expertise and 10 years of work experience enable her to utilize the latest technology solutions in her role. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a concentration in Creative Advertising from Virginia Commonwealth University, and is also currently pursuing an additional degree in Web Design and Interactive Media from The Art Institute of Washington. Prior to ASA, Cinthia worked as an eLearning program manager for the American Industrial Hygiene Association.
Stephanie Paratore, Senior Education Manager, MTS/ARM, manages all contracted domestic and international machinery & technical specialties and appraisal review & management education logistics before, during and after the course(s). Stephanie supports chapter education courses including correspondence, logistics, course materials and invoicing and maintains ASAʼs database with updated course dates, cancellations, instructors and pricing. She also handles retakes and challenges for all machinery & technical specialties and appraisal review & management courses. Stephanie’s tenure, along with her educational background and 11 years of work experience provide her with valuable insight into key education-related components of ASA’s management systems. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science with a minor degree in Business Administration from George Mason University. Prior to ASA, Stephanie worked for the American String Teachers Association as an office assistant and the National Association of Health Underwriters as an assistant manager of education.
Meredith McCann, Education Manager, RP/PP, manages all real property and personal property education logistics before, during, and after the course(s). Meredith supports chapter education courses including correspondence, logistics, course materials, and invoicing and maintains ASA’s database with updated course dates, cancellations, instructors, and pricing for RP ad PP courses. She also handles retakes and challenges for all RP and PP courses.
Nathaly Alcocer, Education Manager, BV/GJ, manages all contracted domestic and international business valuation and gems & jewelry education logistics before, during and after the course(s). Nathaly supports chapter education courses including correspondence, logistics, course materials and invoicing and maintains ASA’s database with updated course dates, cancellations, instructors and pricing. She also handles retakes and challenges for all business valuation and gems & jewelry courses. Her extensive customer service background, bi-lingual Spanish language skills and over 10 years of work experience enable her to respond quickly to member inquiries or support requests. Prior to ASA, Nathaly held positions with several companies, most notably the American Academy of Audiology and State Farm Insurance.
Samantha Jones, Education Specialist, is responsible for the daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department's activities. She provides assistance with all contracted domestic and international education and handles all logistics before, during and after the course(s). Samantha supports students and faculty, prepares client invoices and inputs student information into ASA database. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and International Studies from Kenyon College, a Master of Science degree in Fashion Apparel Manufacturing with a concentration in Advanced Apparel Manufacturing from Philadelphia University.
Ericka Hume, Digital Content Assistant, works with ASA's content providers/subject matter experts and leverages ASA's LMS to create and deliver innovative and intuitive interactive electronic content and course materials, assists with PowerPoint development and editing, creates new OnDemand content and/or updates existing OnDemand content resulting in a more user friendly, immersive student experience, and ensures all content follows ASA's branding guidelines and utilizes ASA's templates appropriately. Ericka also provides assistance with day-to-day production processes and other design and development related tasks. Ericka holds a Bachelor degree from St. Mary’s College and also works as a freelance photographer in the metro Washington, DC area.
Todd Paradis Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, is responsible for developing, communicating, executing, and reporting of ASA strategies and marketing initiatives, as well as overseeing department staff and discipline marketing committee volunteers and activities and managing media relations. He also serves as staff liaison to the Machinery & Technical Specialties Discipline Committee. Todd joined ASA in 2012 and his dedication and commitment were recognized in 2014 with the bestowing of the Society’s Sylvia Wade Olson Award which is given to an employee demonstrating exemplary member service and leadership in building cooperative, helpful working relations. His educational background, technical skills and over 30 years of work experience provide him with a unique and in-depth expertise necessary to successfully lead and operate in a fast-pace, ever-developing environment. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with an emphasis in Graphic Design and a minor in Marketing from Washington Adventist University, a Master of Science degree in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University and advanced strategic marketing training from The Wharton School. Prior to ASA, Todd worked as a director of marketing communications for Maple Life Financial, a marketing manager for the National Glass Association and as an adjunct print/web publication design professor for Washington Adventist University.
Erin McGrogan, Marketing Account Manager, GJ/PP/RP, is responsible for the daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the departmentʼs activities; as well as provides assistance with ASAʼs communication program, exhibition/sponsorship program, list development, marketplace and project management support for gems and jewelry, personal property, and real property appraisers. She recently joined the ASA team with a strong background in marketing where she has helped businesses grow their online profiles through various promotional campaigns and social media platforms. Prior to ASA, Erin worked as a marketing manager for DEZIGNED, the largest full-service online luxury showroom for interior design trade professionals.
Joseph Noselli, MBA, CPA, CGMA, Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for providing financial and analytical support and information to all departments, chapters, committees and the Board of Governors, as well as overseeing the work of the finance department staff. He also serves as staff liaison to the Budget & Finance Committee and the ASA Educational Foundation. Joe has been with ASA for 5 years. His financial leadership accomplishments and diverse global experience, along with his education and nearly 40 years performance and operations management experience, provides ASA with valuable strategic insight necessary to support important fiscal and operational initiatives. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drexel University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University, as well as Certified Public Accounting (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) credentials. Prior to ASA, Joe served as chief financial officer for National Resources Conservation Service—USDA, and vice president & controller for multiple companies, including: CGI, ITT Industries, Fedders Corporation and Ingersoll Rand.
Katrina Levesque, Associate Director of Accounting, is responsible for the management of general ledger transactions, accounting systems maintenance, financial reporting and payroll processing Katrina has been with ASA for eleven years. Her education and 24 years work experience provide her with a valuable skillset necessary to manage the complex and sophisticated accounting needs of an international organization. She has a degree in accounting from Kazakh State Academy of Management and continuing professional development accounting training from George Brown College. Prior to ASA, Katrina worked in the Kazakhstan Department of Finance and Administration and as a bookkeeper for ABSYS-Asian Business Systems.
Chris Schroder, Accounts Payable–Accounting Specialist, is responsible for the processing of accounts payable, maintaining and processing chapter rebates, filing chapter 990Ns, assisting with monthly closing, reconciling of assigned accounts, reporting and annual auditing.
Sharlyne Tsai, Director of Information Technology, is responsible for the project planning and management, directing and supervision of all activities of the Information Technology Department, including telecommunication services, information architecture, database services, disaster recovery and computer and related peripheral support services. She has been with ASA for seven years. Sharlyneʼs educational background, technical expertise, and 10 years work experience enable her to utilize the latest technology and solutions to further ASAʼs strategic directives. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in both Information Systems and Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has earned the Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification. Prior to ASA, Sharlyne held managerial positions at CADCA and Continental Security Systems.
Fran Tucker, Information Technology Manager, is responsible for implementing and maintaining ASAʼs technology infrastructure, providing staff technical support, monitoring the organizationʼs operational requirements, and researching strategies and technology solutions. She has been with ASA for over two decades. Her dedication and commitment were recognized in 2011 and in 2020 with the bestowing of the Societyʼs Sylvia Wade Olson Award. Franʼs educational background and work experience has provided ASA with in-depth knowledge of various complex systems and procedures. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Grove City College where she graduated magna cum laude and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Kent State University where she also graduated magna cum laude. Prior to ASA, Fran held managerial, technical, and educational positions at IBM, Ohio Edison and Dale Carnegie Training. Fran served on the board of the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD) for six years and currently serves on the board of National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).
John D. Russell, JD, Strategic Partnership Officer, oversees ASAʼs government relations and business development activities. He serves as staff liaison to ASAʼs Real Property-NAIFA Committee, is ASAʼs representative to the Appraisal Foundation Advisory Committee, and is a past member of the Board of Trustees of the Appraisal Foundation. He has a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Syracuse University College of Law and a Bachelors degree in Broadcasting and Mass Communications from State University of New York at Oswego.
