Guy Borenstein | Director of Gemstone Procurement and Senior Gemologist | Stuller Inc.
Guy Borenstein, FGA EGG, is Stuller's Senior Gemologist, leading the company's comprehensive diamond screening and gemological testing operations at its global facilities. Besides directing the gemological laboratory operations, Borenstein's other responsibilities include developing screening protocols for all diamonds and gemstones and researching for evolving new technology-based screening and identification solutions to adopt. Before joining Stuller, Borenstein served for 16 years in various gemological capacities, including Chief Gemologist in two gemological laboratories, VP Gemological Services in Gemewizard, FGA Gemmology Diploma tutor at Gem-A, and consultant to numerous institutes and companies worldwide. Borenstein also published several scientific articles covering new discoveries in gemology in leading journals, including GIA's Gems and Gemology and Gem-A's Journal of Gemmology.

 

Reginald Brack | SVP, Head of Dept., Watches | Freeman's Hindman Auction House
Reginald Brack has held pioneering positions in the luxury sector, including SVP, International Head of Retail, Watches at Christie's, where he launched and managed both the private sales program and the e-commerce business. His tenure as the Founding General Manager of Watches at StockX played a pivotal role in transforming the startup into a multi-billion-dollar luxury marketplace. As Executive Director, Watches & Luxury NPD (now Circana) he provided data and market insight to luxury C-suite brand and retail executives. He is currently Head of the Watch Department at Freeman's Hindman, the oldest and sixth largest auction house in the U.S.

Elizabeth Bray | Owner | Sparrow Jewels
Elizabeth Bray has worked in the jewelry business for over 20 years. She received a Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Graduate Gemologist degree from The Gemological Institute of America, Elizabeth spent nearly a decade working for Christie's Auction House in New York, Chicago and Beverly Hills. At Christie's, she was privileged to work on the Elizabeth Taylor Collection, The Collection of Doris Duke, and handle other prominent collections and important gemstones. In 2010, her book, "Jeweler to the Stars: The Jewelry of Paul Flato" was published by ACC Art Books. She was a contributing author to the book, "The Jewels of Trabert & Hoeffer-Mauboussin" published by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 2014. Elizabeth has conducted historical research for the New York jewelry firms, Oscar Heyman Brothers and Harry Winston. Since then, Elizabeth enjoys freelance jewelry appraisal and cataloguing work.

 

Thomas Dawson, ASA | Resonance Appraisals
Thomas Dawson, ASA, is the founder of Resonance Appraisals, an appraisal and insurance consulting firm based in Los Angeles, California. He has been a licensed Property and Casualty insurance agent for over a decade and an appraiser and ASA member for 8 years. With a B.S. in Music and a background in guitar performance, Dawson was the first ASA member to earn a specialty designation for guitars. Dawson has passed the ASA exam for Residential Contents and the ISA exam for Antiques, Furnishings and Decorative Arts.

 

Harold Dupuy | Vice President, Strategic Analysis | Stuller Inc.
Harold Dupuy, Vice President of Strategic Analysis for Stuller, Inc., has had a multi-faceted career in the jewelry industry. In over four decades, he has held many roles, from executive leadership in a large public corporation to operating an independent store. Before joining Stuller, Harold also owned and operated a private appraisal practice and gemological laboratory.   A member of ASA since 1997, he served as Gems & Jewelry Discipline Chair and on the Board of Governors. Harold holds a B.S., Business Administration from the University of Louisiana, is a Fellow of the Gemological Association of Great Britain (FGA), a Graduate Gemologist (GIA), and a Master Gemologist Appraiser (American Society of Appraisers) Retired. At Stuller, he draws on this diverse background to analyze, anticipate, and act on shifting trends in the global jewelry +market.

 

Kerry Gregory, FGA, DGA, EG, GG (GIA) | Head of Shiny Stuff | Gemmology Rocks
Anyone who has met Kerry Gregory, knows she’s a one-woman whirlwind, passionate, funny and motivating, and her presentations are always fast paced, practical and entertaining. Kerry has delivered presentations, to critical acclaim, to many organizations and associations including; The National Association of Jewellers (UK), The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers, The American Gem Trade Association and Gemworld International. She has had numerous articles on practical gemology published in both UK and US publications. A past long term tutor and head of ATC for Gem-A, she served on the board of Gem-A, and ran one of the UK Branches. Currently on the Board of Trustees for the Silversmiths and Jewellers Charity (UK), and a key contributor to the National Association of Jewellers (UK) Professional c Kerry started Gemmology Rocks, after a career of Retail Jewelry, Estate Jewelry, Appraisal, Pawnbroking and plenty of hands-on Gemology. To deliver hands-on practical education to businesses, that gets to the root of frustrations, providing development, support, solutions and education to tackle the stuff that makes a difference every day in business, and makes everyone more money! To deliver education of the highest standard, she has completed a Teaching Qualification specializing in teaching adults.

 

Duncan Parker | Vice President | Dupuis Fine Jewellery Auctioneers
Duncan is Vice president and Jewellery Specialist at Dupuis Fine Jewellery Auctioneers. Currently Vice President of the Canadian Gemmological Association, Past President of Jewellers Vigilance Canada, he is a jewellery historian, and is a regular speaker at conferences and webinars. He has developed and taught courses in gemmology and in jewellery history for colleges and universities.

Gary Roskin, graduate gemologist, author, gemstone photographer, and journalist, is the Editor in Chief of the Roskin Gem News Report. Former CEO for the International Colored Gemstone Association, Senior Gemstone Editor for JCK Magazine, and the Baselworld Daily News, Gemology Instructor, and Laboratory Gemologist, Roskin has covered the international colored gems and diamonds market, as well as gemological subjects on diamonds, and the estate gemstone/jewelry market for close to four decades.
