Thomas Boyle, MAI | Senior Vice President | Chief Appraiser | US Bank

Tom is the Chief Appraiser for U.S. Bank where he is responsible for the bank’s national commercial real estate appraisal and environmental services.  He has been active in the valuation industry for 40 years.  Tom served on the Standards Board of the International Valuation Standards Council from 2008 – 2014, has been certified by The Appraisal Foundation’s Appraiser Qualifications Board as a USPAP instructor and has been instrumental in creation of the series of papers providing a bridge between USPAP and IVS.  Tom has served on the National Board of Directors of the Appraisal Institute, has authored national seminars for the Appraisal Institute and has written articles for The Appraisal Journal, The RMA Journal and contributed to the Appraisal Institute’s Dictionary of Real Estate Appraisal.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance from the University of Oregon.

Jeffrey W. Brend is a Principal of the nationally recognized family law, forensic accounting and business valuation practice Levin & Brend, P.C in Chicago, Illinois. Brian Crotty, ASA, is Managing Director of HDH Advisors, LLC. He has over 25 years of experience in valuing businesses, securities and intangible assets for a wide range of purposes. Mr. Crotty has been a designated member of ASA for over 20 years, an active volunteer with numerous leadership positions, including most notably serving as a Member At-Large on the ASA Business Valuation Committee.

Robert B.  Morrison, FASA, BV/IA

Bob Morrison, FASA, sold his practice and retired in 2021 after over 30 years providing business valuation and forensic accounting services. Bob is a member of the ASA's College of Fellows, a former International President of the ASA, a former chair of the ASA's Business Valuation Committee, and a former member of The Appraisal Foundation Board of Trustees. In addition to serving as an expert witness in state and federal courts, Bob served as the court-appointed trustee, examiner, and chief restructuring officer in bankruptcy proceedings and as court-appointed receiver and special master in state and federal litigation proceedings.

Michael A. He was 3X President of the Boston Chapter, Chair of the International Ethics Committee, and VP of the International Virtual Chapter. Michael is a trained Class A machinist and toolmaker. He has a long 50+ year history with machinery and equipment. He was awarded the Jerry F. Larkins Award for Volunteer of the Year for ASA in 2023 and the Boston Chapter was recognized as Chapter of The Year under his Presidency in 2024.

Barry Shea, ASA, IFA, ARM, is a real property appraiser at Barry Shea and Associates. He has over 38 years of experience in real property appraisal and appraisal review. He is a past member and chair of the Appraisal Standards Board of the Appraisal Foundation. Shea is a designated member of ASA and an active volunteer with numerous leadership positions, including most notably serving as a member of the ARM Committee, Board of Examiners, and as chair of ASA's International Education Committee. Mr. Tarbell is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. He has more than three decades of experience providing valuation and financial opinions to private and publicly traded companies. Mr. Tarbell is Head of the firm’s Estate and Gift Tax Valuation practice, Co-Head of the firm’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan Valuation practice, and a member of the firm’s Technical Standards Committee. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser, a member of the Board of Governors, and a Past Chair of the Business Valuation Committee of the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Tarbell is also a CFA charter holder. He is the former Chair of the Advisory Committee Chairs’ Council of The ESOP Association, the former chair of its Valuation Advisory Committee, and a former member of its board of directors. Mr. Tarbell is also a member of the Portland Society of Financial Analysts and an associate member of the American Bar Association. Hon. Lori V. Vaughan | U.S. Bankruptcy Judge | U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida

Judge Vaughan was sworn in as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division on February 25, 2020. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Vaughan practiced bankruptcy law for 21 years – representing debtors, creditors, and trustees in jurisdictions across the country.  Judge Vaughan has spoken on a variety of bankruptcy and currently teaches Bankruptcy as an adjunct professor at Florida A&M University in Orlando, FL. Judge Vaughan has served as president of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association, chair of the Bankruptcy/UCC Committee of the Florida Bar, Business Law Section, and a board member for the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation

 

Forrest A. Vickery, ASA | Managing Director - Northern California | Sanli Pastore & Hill

Mr. Vickery is a Shareholder and Managing Director at Sanli Pastore & Hill, Inc., leading the firm’s Northern California operations from its Sacramento office. He specializes in business valuation, litigation support, forensic financial analysis, and expert witness testimony for matters including shareholder disputes, economic damages, and estate and gift tax reporting. With over 20 years experience, Jack Young has extensive experience in equipment appraisal, appraisal review, and expert witness services. He currently serves on the ASA Board of Governors as the first Governor for the ARM discipline and has held leadership roles internationally, including chairing the ARM subcommittee and editing the Appraisal Review e-journal. A former auctioneer and founder of NorCal Valuation, Jack is a respected educator and contributor to industry publications, including the 4th edition of Valuing Machinery & Equipment.
